Program Description:
Summer in RomeSBU offers students the opportunity to study for four weeks in bellissima Roma, la città eternal!  This study abroad program, established over 30 years ago, enables participants to gain firsthand knowledge of contemporary Italy. The curriculum offers students an understanding of Italian history, politics, and culture, as well as the possibility of fulfilling DEC (Diversified Education Curriculum), SBC (Stony Brook Curriculum), and upper-division requirements.

Program Highlights:
  • Experience the host country as a group led by distinguished SBU faculty
  • In conjunction with classes, visits will be made to the city’s artistic and historical landmarks.
  • Planned group excursions include Venice, Assisi, Florence, Naples, Capri, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast and Tivoli.
