Program Description:
 
GSI WelcomeA mix of fun activities and English enhancement.
Students enroll in full-time English classes to improve their academic English skills.  Core morning classes include all English skills:(Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking).  Afternoon Classes include:  Grammar & Vocabulary, Communication Skills, TOEFL Preparation, American Life, Money & Business, Media & Society, Debate/Conversation, and Current Events
This program is recommended for students with conditional admission to SBU or with plans to apply to SBU in the future.  Conditional students have the option of taking a 3-credit course in lieu of IEC afternoon and elective classes.
